Burnaby Photographic Society

BPS' Story

The Burnaby Photographic Society has been an active member of the local community for more than 50 years. We hold instructional sessions on photographic techniques, organize print displays in libraries, community centres and local businesses. We have also presented annual shows combining images and music. Our members have a diverse range of skills and styles and they generously share their knowledge and experience. We meet weekly either at the Deer Lake Gallery or via Zoom to discuss prints and/or to engage speakers on a variety of photographic topics. We compete with other clubs in British Columbia and across Canada in image challenges, giving our members an opportunity to compare their skills with others on a diversity of subjects. Our primary objectives are to help all our members become better image makers and to have fun in the creation and expression of their art.
