These days, photographic images are rarely consumed in physical form and when they are we rarely consider the paper behind a photograph — until now. The Protagonist Series playfully acknowledges the stories these supporting cast members might have to tell. Not only can paper amplify a message otherwise conveyed by pigments and emulsions, it can entirely rewrite the script. Perhaps they’re simply tired of having art just happen to them.
The arts can delight us, inspire us, transform us, remind us of who we are. Shouldn’t we all aspire to be protagonists and to play the lead in the greatest story ever told — our own? Don’t let life simply happen to you. Rewrite the script and give yourself a great role.
