Nina's Story
My work explores the raw power of nature and the quiet poetry of stillness. Through oil painting, I capture the tension between turbulence and tranquility—storm-laden skies over the Caribbean Sea, blossoms bending in the wind, and the fleeting moments where chaos and beauty converge.
Inspired by the organic forms of Ikebana and the silent presence of cherry blossom trees in Vancouver, I approach composition with a sense of balance and impermanence. Each brushstroke is an attempt to translate movement into something tangible, to give form to the emotions stirred by nature’s rhythms.
Whether painting vast, stormy waters or delicate florals, my art is a meditation on transformation—of landscapes, of seasons, and of the unseen forces that shape our world.
