Jennie Johnston
Over the course of the 2017-2018 school year Jennie was Artist-In-Residence at Forest Grove Elementary school in Burnaby. During the residency 300 students created 5 unique quilts and learned traditional and artistic textile skills.

Philomena personifies the Irish Gift for telling stories, reciting poetry and spontaneous singing. She was born into a large family on a small farm in the West of Ireland. She grew up in an atmosphere rich in the Gaelic culture and traditions of the Irish Countryside.
Iris Mes Low
Iris’ art depicts images of her subconscious, creating surrealistic abstractions of landscapes. Mes-Low’s approach is of tightening forms and accentuating the intensity of the environment. Her trees take on human-like characteristics as they congregate against dawning skies and urban hubs of suburbia

She has over 15 years of experience in the film and television industry. She has worked in various roles and projects and produced films for many public, private, and non-profit organizations. She is passionate about using art as a tool for community building.
Kalyan Rath
Kalyan Rath is a 17yr old musician and producer from Houston, Texas. His family moved to Vancouver when he was 10 yrs old, and that is when he realized his passion for music. He has been creating and producing music since then.
Carolyn Sullivan
I am a member of the Arts Committee and photographer working in several areas: product, art, event, and face exposure. My photographic education and skills are solid in image processing for print and digital video. I am particularly adept with studio lighting and natural light sources.
Winnie Tam
As Interim Executive Director, she supports the ArtStarts team in building their capacity, resilience, and leadership skills to empower them to fulfill ArtStarts’ mission. Winnie ensures that ArtStarts’ strategic direction, operations, and programs are robust and values-driven in service of promoting the arts as essential to life and learning for BC’s young people
Joshua Yang
Joshua Yang is a Vancouver-based musician and composer who has composed award-winning pieces for the Vancouver Chamber Choir, and for piano. His choral works have been performed at the Chan Center in UBC and he has performed his jazz compositions with his jazz combo, the Jazz Aces, at events all over the lower mainland.
